Protune (Amino Acid Mixture) Powder

Protune is hydrolysed protein based organic  Nitrogen Fertilizer derived from vegetable / animal origin proteins (i.e., Soya / Casein / Gelatin etc.) in the form of free amino acids, short chained peptides by hydrolysis which provides organic Nitrogen in most bioavailable form and helps to increase the yield of the crop.

Proteins (Amino Acid mixture) are the basic building blocks of living cells. Proteins are formed by sequence of amino acids. The amino acids are organic substances consisting of an asymmetric carbon to which are bounded an amino group(-NH2),a carboxylic group (-COOH) & two characteristics radicals of each amino acid (R & R") Although there are number of amino acids from the agricultural point of view alpha amino acids are of great interest.

Plants synthesize amino acids from primary elements, carbon & oxygen obtained from atmosphere & hydrogen from water in the soil, forming carbon hydrates by means of photosynthesis and combining it with the nitrogen which plants obtain from soil thus producing amino acids. Amino acids are required by plants throughout all their growing stages. Amino acids are the starting points for the synthesis of cellular molecules including vitamins, nucleotides, chlorophyll, enzymes, proteins, etc. They have an important nutritional function during germination; during the synthesis of proteins; in the formation of phytohormones such as auxin, ethylene, polyamines, porphyries, etc.; in the regulation of the water balance especially when plants are under stressful conditions. Amino acids also act as chelating molecules of essential nutrients for normal development of the plant.

Protune Bait Liquid  ( Fruit Fly Attractant ) : is specially hydrolyzed liquid used as a food attractant, it is also used for a range of pests including the Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata) and the Olive flies (Bactrocera (Dacus) oleae). It may be used as part of an attract and kill treatment by mixing it with a conventional insecticide and spraying restricted areas of the orchard or olive grove as an alternative to full cover sprays which reduce or eliminate important populations of beneficial insects. Protein Hydrolysate may also be used in monitoring traps. Protein sprays are less harmful to beneficial insects, & recommended for use in IPM programme. It is effective against Mediterranean fruit fly (Ceratitis capitata) & the Olive fly (Bactrocera oleae) & other Fruit flies.
